LWVDC Sponsored Naturalization Reception - Volunteers Needed!

Volunteers needed to help support the LWVDC reception for newly naturalized citizens and their families
Amid today’s challenges and uncertainty, here is a chance to create a warm and welcoming space for those who have worked tirelessly to become U.S. citizens. On May 12, LWVDC will sponsor a naturalization reception at the District Courthouse, and we need eight volunteers to help make it a success. Volunteers will: greet new citizens and guide them to the reception area; oversee the event; and assist with clean-up. The time commitment is 8:30 am – 12:00 noon. Please note this is separate from our incredible team registering new voters. Join us in affirming that the U.S. opens its doors and heart to new citizens from around the world.
