LWVUS Lobby Day

About this event

On April 30 – the 100th day of this Administration - Leaguers from around the country will come to DC to urge their members of Congress to defend the Constitution and rule of law. The League recently declared the country to be in a constitutional crisis. The Hill meetings will be based on the letter signed by LWVUS and all 51 state Leagues urging Congress to exercise its spending and oversight authority and sent on the League’s birthday on February 14th. Our representative Eleanor Holmes Norton needs no reminding to stand up for what’s right. But we in DC can support this effort by accompanying state Leaguers to meetings and help drop off materials in offices. It’s a great way to support LWVUS staff and meet Leaguers from other states – many of whom have been really helpful to us in our statehood campaign and home rule defense. The day starts at 9:30/10 am at the League office and goes until 2 pm. You can join for all or some of the day. We'll reach out once you've registered to learn your availability. Must be an active League member to participate.

Since you must be an active member of LWVDC, you must login to your LWVDC account or you will not see the "register" button if not logged in.  If you need any help logging in to your account (particularly new members who may not have received login instructions yet), please contact Lee Palmer at technology@lwvdc.org.
