FRESH PECAN SALE
LWVDC will sell fresh shelled pecans from South Carolina as a fundraiser for the DC League again this year. Price is still $15 for a one-pound bag, $4 of which goes to the League. These pecans make great gifts and freeze well for your year's baking. And they’re much tastier than pecans sold in supermarkets. Contact Judy Smith at smarmayor@aol.com to place your order. They will arrive around November 8—in time for your Thanksgiving pies! They can be picked up at Judy's house, 7628 17th St. NW, or at the League office, 1233 20th St. NW, on a day to be specified.
