Screening and Discussion of "The Last Battlefront"
About this event
GW Votes and LWVDC will co-sponsor a film screening of "The Last Battlefront," April 29, 5:30-7:30 pm in USC 309. The Last Battlefront is a one-hour documentary and the first historical film on the right for self-government in Washington, D.C. told through the lives and voices of its citizens. The film will be followed by a Q&A and discussion of the current state of protecting Home Rule and DC statehood with filmmaker Anna Reid Jhirad and members of the LWVDC. A civics event will be hosted by the GW Student Government before the film screening. Other organizations at the event include Swing Left, GW Republicans, Bridge USA, Partners in Health, and GW Democracy Matters.
