About this event
Volunteers to set up for the Occupation Status Meeting. The President's emergency declaration runs out on September 10th unless Congress takes action. There are also an increasing number of anti-Home Rule bills being introduced in Congress along with 16 provisions in appropriations bills that would undermine our laws. Given all the uncertainty, we thought it would be good to meet, discuss, and strategize. We will be joined by Vanessa Batters-Thompson, Executive Director of D.C. Appleseed and Breanna C. Gray, Ph.D., Assistant Professor, Department of Government and Politics, University of Maryland.
