Ranked Choice Voting in D.C: What Voters Need to Know - Changed to Virtual Only due to Weather
About this event
In 2026, ranked choice voting will be introduced, which will allow D.C. voters to rank up to 5 candidates according to their preferences in each election (other than for political party offices).Join us for an informative presentation on RCV and how it will work for D.C. voters and candidates in 2026 elections. Presenters Kenyatta Smith, Engagement & Outreach Director, Grow Democracy DC, and Brandon Bush, Engagement Coordinator, will cover how RCV will work for voters and candidates in the 2026 Primary and General Elections and conduct a mock ballot, followed by time for Q&A. We will coordinate with GDDC on a follow-up “train the trainers” session for Leaguers interested in presenting to community groups.
Because of hazardous weather conditions this event has been changed from hybrid to virtual only. Please register and you will receive the zoom link in your confirmation email.
Videoconference information will be provided in an email once registration is complete.
