About this event

Join us as we provide the Ward 6 school community with information about upcoming 2026 D.C. elections, including our new ranked choice system. The Ward 6 Public Schools Parent Organization (W6PSPO) (https://w6pspo.org/) invited us back to their annual Bike, Roll and Read to School Day event at Lincoln Park (11th and East Capitol Streets) on Wednesday, May 6, from 7:30 - 8:15 am. Note: The event will take place on the west side of Lincoln Park (near the Lincoln statue). This event celebrates the benefits of biking (and walking, scooting, etc) to neighborhood schools, and raises awareness about all children needing safe routes to school. This year's Bike and Roll to School Day is dedicated to civics and elections. Join LWVDC  and Rank the District as we inform and engage families on the 2026 Primary Election and ranked choice voting. The event starts at 7:30 am and is over by 8:15 am so everyone can arrive at school on time.
