Join the LWV team supporting the August 28 Defend the Vote March on Washington! The March is organized by the National Action Network, in conjunction with the King family and the Drum Major Institute, marking the 63rd anniversary of the historic 1963 March on Washington for Jobs and Freedom.
The March will take place from 9 am to noon at the Lincoln Memorial. We’ll meet at the Albert Einstein statue at 22nd & Constitution Avenue, NW at 9 am, and walk together to the Lincoln Memorial. We’ll have Statehood signs for folks who want to carry one.
