A wonderful July 4th tradition in DC is the parade through Palisades neighborhood -- and LWVDC marching along with people and pets that come from all over to enjoy the festivities. LWVDC members and friends are invited to march with us. We'll carry VOTE411 and Statehood signs and give candy and Future Voter stickers to the many youngsters and VOTE411 and Statehood info to older folks who line the route.

Lineup starts at 10 am. Marching sets off at 11 at Whitehaven and MacArthur Blvd. Following the parade, everyone is welcome to free entertainment and picnic in Palisades Park, where the parade ends. PARADE STARTS AT WHITEHAVEN & MACARTHUR BLVD. HEADS NORTHBOUND ON MACARTHUR, LEFT ON EDMONDS, LEFT ON SHERIER. ENDS AT PALISADES PARK. LINE UP STARTS AT 10AM

Everyone is welcome, young and old, but please register so we know who is coming to march with us!
